Scope
What this site does not do
No advertising cookies, no analytics, no pixel, no profiling. Nothing you do here builds a picture of you, and no data is ever sold.
One thing is stored on your device: if you switch the site's colour scheme, that preference is saved locally. It never leaves your browser. Clearing your browser storage removes it.
Processing
What actually happens
The contact form
You submit your name, email address and message — plus, only if you tick the box, consent to occasional updates.
- Purpose: to read and answer you; where consented, to send occasional news about classes and retreats.
- Legal basis: Art 6(1)(b) GDPR for correspondence about a class, session or booking; Art 6(1)(f) for other enquiries; Art 6(1)(a) for the optional updates, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Processor: Formspree, Inc., United States, which receives and forwards the submission, so data is transferred outside the EU.
- Retention: kept only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry, then deleted.
Hosting
Hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. Serving a page necessarily processes your IP address, the time, the page requested and your browser identification — true of every website, and required to deliver content and defend against attacks. Legal basis: Art 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Fonts
Typefaces are requested from Google Fonts, operated by Google Ireland Limited. Loading them transmits your IP address to Google.
Writing to hello@samatva.eu directly is processed to answer you, under Art 6(1)(b) or 6(1)(f) GDPR. Nothing goes to anyone beyond the providers named above unless the law requires it.

What you can ask for
Access to your data (Art 15), correction (Art 16), erasure (Art 17), restriction (Art 18), portability (Art 20), objection to processing based on legitimate interest (Art 21), and withdrawal of consent at any time (Art 7(3)).
